Talking a lot but saying nothing

How does one manage to go on and on, without saying a single meaningful thing in an entire conversation?

I learnt that there are people who have this skill, but the unbelievable part is that it is actually appreciated. The use of words and sentences to disguise true intent, in order to grease the wheels is actually appreciated. I hate lying and dislike distortions of the truth even more.
Its amazing that so many people can make a profession out of it. I hate it even more when I encounter these people, because i DO NOT enjoy talking to them at all. There is no conversation, just one ong monologue, broken up by my breathing.

It is an interesting thing though, because I keep trying to read the real intent behind it and its an amusing cat and mouse game, im the mouse btw :)

I prefer silence to mindless banter, some see it as snobby some see it as introverted, others just dont get it. I dont really care. My life is too short to deal with idiots 24x7 and i have better things to waste time on.
