Trivandrum

This place is more like a Big Town than a small city with the feel it gives off.

Tiny roads that lead to god knows where and no real way of knowin if you are on the right path (Orthogonality be damned said the city planners). All navigation must be done from junction to junction if you ever desire to reach where you want to go :)

Open Time: 5am(Booze), 7am(Food), 8am(Ppl), 10pm(Biz)
Close Time: 5pm (Biz), 7pm(Ppl), 10pm(Food), 11pm(Booze)

Interesting???
Try culture shock for me. Anyone who knows me will vouch that thats as far as it can possibly be reversed for me. I remember the times when I used to leave home at 11pm for a "walk" and come back at 230am. Dun worry I never did anything illegal, Immoral however I will not comment on.

Times aside, Malyalam is an interesting language, I will never master it. Im sure. Ive even started understanding Tamil and I am still not able to talk more than 2 sentences outside a shop in Malyalam. My brain must be reverse wired for this language.

Food is fun. Being on the coast, it uses the same basic ingredients as any coastal culture would, with some major twists
1. Coconut - Oil, Shredded, wateva - No wonder coconut prices can rule the newpaper headlines in Mallu Land.
2. Bananas - Palam (L is RrrLll) - Please refer to above
3. Sweet - Everything must be sweet - Half the peopl I know have SERIOUS weight issues/diabetes in some form
4. Deep Fry - Foodies after all must have their indulgences

Still all in all, for me it could be wayyy worse and I could be stuck in a place with terrible food. Like Chennai :P

People here are highly educated and lazy at the same time.
The population is mainly composed of retired people, kids and goverment employees.
SPOILER: Everyone here is highly opinionated :) Do not voice your opinion, everyone will give you theirs and want to convince you that they are on the side of righteousness ;)

My main crib is where are all the cute women :(

All the madness aside the place is lovely. I love the weather and the places. Seeing the Padmanabhaswamy temple, Kovalam Beach, Varkala Beach and the Shaded area with water and food stalls outside the Legislative Assembly (for the protestors should not face hardships after all) really make this place unique and give a feel that is like no other in the world.

Come experience God's Own Country and do drop by so that I may laugh heartily in your face.

Ciao Chumps
